The price
I learned something else about photographing from a blind: dress warmly. I froze my butt off on Saturday and apparently wasn’t warm enough on Sunday either because I now have a cold. Let’s hope it’s not the swine variety and that I will get off as easy as I normally do.
The worst part about being sick, for me, is that it takes weeks before I’m completely restored, even when I only have a very mild cold. Oh well. I stocked up on bird food yesterday so as long as I’m well enough to re-fill the feeders, I will hopefully have some birds left when I’m ready to use the blind again!

I wish you get well soon. It’s never nice to stay at home sick
Ja, nu vet du hur de har det, de stackars uteliggar-djuren! Kallt och rått och varken Gore-Tex eller Thinsulate. ;o)
Hoppas förkylningen går över fort och att fåglarna inte känner sig övergivna!
Get well soon Minna.
Nice picture, your feeding place has some potential -just get some good looking wood there
The perches are giving me a headache. I’ve been trying to find something that would look nice but it seems to be a lot easier said than done. And even when I do find something that might be nice, I can’t figure out how to set it up because ideally, everything should be diagonal.
Like I said in an earlier post, this is very much work in progress. We’ll see how far I’ve gotten by springtime… provided that the birds will keep visiting the “restaurant”, of course!
Just get some nice looking branches and tie them up on some uglier trees, it is a set-up in any case -that’s what the birders do if they don’t have nice enough trees or scenery.
