Never say never
I went skiing again. Just couldn’t resist the trails which are in pretty good shape at the moment with what the recent snowfall. Glide was great, too good in fact – wasted a lot of momentum slipping sideways.
And my feet are not hurting – much.
I just wish I could put the same kind of effort into fixing problems and getting my chores done than I do at skiing, despite all the evidence that says that I shouldn’t go anywhere near my ski boots!

Would be nice to ski a bit, but the last winter wasn’t very co-operative with me
Btw, you get rid of the blisters when you let the first ones harden and then take a new try on it
The protective coverage is the thing, U know..
I wish your blister theory would work on my feet… but by now, all I have is hardened scar tissue at the back of my heels (it wasn’t the same spot chafing all the time, so a new blister would form next to ones that had healed). The chafing action is just too bad, nothing I can do to prevent it. I will only get relief when I invest in new boots, and this time (it will be my 3rd pair of boots in as many years!!) I’ve gotta make sure that the boots are small enough so there’s no room for chafing.
A skiing trip without the pain… that will be a novelty!
