Snow, snow, snow
It has been snowing all day. It is also very windy – my snow meter is only showing a 0.5 cm increase in snow cover so the snow is blowing off in some places while piling up elsewhere. This will make a serious dent in my weather statistics!
But statistics aside, I have thoroughly enjoyed the weather. When I was looking at the view from the Eagle Mountain, I thought that the only thing that could ruin the feeling was if someone called from the work. A few minutes afterwards my phone rang – trouble with a server. Honestly! So what can I do, wade home through the snow as fast as I could, check the server, and back out again while there was any light left.
What I was looking at just a few minutes before they called from the office. The snowfall intensified soon after this.(That faint dot on the right is probably an oof snowflake – I’ll have to investigate though.)
These are the kind of days one has to cherish… I did.
1 commentWeather – November 2007
November 2007 would be the month that winter arrived. This is a very positive surprise, as the past winters have taught us to expect black Christmases rather than early winters. Well, there’s still a few weeks to go, the big thaw can still strike… even if December starts with a new snowfall front.
